@melissabartley Clearly you missed the part about the women being among a population of only HIV+ people. The birth control is to stop reproduction. I would stop reproduction? for 3 reasons in addition to there being the risk of the child being born HIV+. First, if the child was born HIV-, it's parents would still be pos and would unlikely be around long enough to raise the child to adulthood. Second, there is already many children without parents; adopt if you want kids.

@FrancisDelaTorre : HIV transmission lips to lips? is very low. For HIV to transmit via mouth the two people would have to have to open sores in their mouth with direct contact to each other. The reason condoms are not 100% affective is because they don't protect against every STI such as warts, herpes , HPV and pubic lice. Also because condoms can split on rare occasions, condom companies also say they aren't 100% affective because they need to protect themselves against compensation claims.

My Point is NOT to "develope Cure" for both HIV and AIDS because there are many "Human Trafficking" in Asia because of "Multiple Sex Workers", "Males" are the worst. However, my adopted children would never contract HIV because they've been educated about what safe-sex is. AIDS is 100% preventable, so worry about your own health instead of the health of others.
